Game Pie Recipe – Dad’s Best Pie Recipe.I love Game Pie. This type of dish is very traditional in British Cooking. This traditional Game Pie Recipe is a delicious, rich, warming meat pie. Perfect for this time of year when the weather get’s colder, the fire is burning and the board games are on the table.
A traditional British Food Dish, very simple to make, very tasty to eat. This is my dad’s recipe, for years, ever since I can remember he has made this pie for us all. It’s the best pie recipe I know. It works so well with any dark meats or game. In this version we have used Partridge, Pheasant, Mallard (duck) and Venison (deer) mixed with herbs and a thick rich gravy.
I loved making this video with my dad, from me British Cook to you awesome people who watch my videos. Thank you so much for all of the support. It’s great to know people find these recipes useful and use them time and time again. I really enjoy it when people leave me comments or questions about British Cook or British Cooking, so please keep in touch and let me know what you think. #Britishcooking #BritishCook #GamePie

  1. Great video. I'll make one of these this week. Perfect winter meal. Thanks to your Dad! I'm recently back from Wales and had my first Glamorgan sausages. Would you consider doing a video on those? They were fantastic!

  2. Looks delicious. I think I’d be scared to do the flambé part. I’d probably accidentally burn down my house. Lol.
Love that your dad appeared in the video with you. He looks like a nice & friendly man. My late father was an excellent cook. He was known for making the best hummus in the world. Thanks for the inspiration. Perhaps I should do a video of my dad’s hummus recipe!

  3. This made me so hungry! I hope to do a little hunting this weekend so I can try and make this

  4. My mom would make German chocolate cake for birthdays. My brothers especially asked for it as a birthday cake.

  5. That looks soooooo yummy! Your dad has the talent you obviously inherited *wink* I have never seen such a pie pan, is there a specific name for this type? Thanks for sharing this with us Drew.

  6. I always watch these just before bed… and it makes me hungry! 🙂 I'm gonna try this one this weekend I think!! Thanks Drew!
